Los Tres Oros: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Salina, KS

Traveling through on a road trip and we are so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant ( it was suggested by the hotel). They have just opened this month but you would never know that. The food is delicious, service was attentive and very friendly. I enjoyed the veggie fajitas which were easily accommodated to be vegan (and more food than I could eat). Doug had the enchilada supreme with ground beef which was not greasy and he said delicious. Margaritas were great for the price ($8). Guacamole was fresh, salsa was mild, and the chips were fresh and plentiful. If this restaurant were in my hometown I would be a regular. Highly recommend!

5/5 Stars – Los Tres Oros – Authentic Mexican Gem in North Salina! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Los Tres Oros in North Salina and asked the manager about the name—it’s spelled LOS TRES OROS, and he explained it means “the three coins” (or gold coins) in Spanish. That perfectly sums up why this place earns a full five stars! The first gold coin is the salsa—served fresh in that first bowl, it has a great taste with just the right amount of spice and a truly authentic Mexican flavor that hits all the right notes. The second gold coin is the atmosphere and decor—vibrant, enjoyable, and beautifully done inside. It creates a welcoming vibe that makes every meal feel special. It might deserve an even better location spotlight, but it shines bright right where it is! The third gold coin is the pricing—incredible value, with prices that feel like they’re from five years ago. You get generous portions of delicious food without breaking the bank. Even though there was a little mix-up in communication—I ordered what I thought were the loaded nachos with chicken, but ended up with the chicken nachos instead of the regular nachos topped with chicken—they were still really good! The food quality made up for any confusion, and everything tasted fantastic. If you’re craving a very good-tasting Mexican meal with these three gold coins of outstanding salsa, inviting decor/atmosphere, and unbeatable pricing, Los Tres Oros delivers every time. A great place hidden by the interstate with no large sign. Stopped by here with my son and very glad we did. Service was extremely fast and checked on us many times throughout the meal. The chips, salsa, and queso came out very quickly as did the meal. The salsa tastes fresh and was mild which was great as my son loves salsa, but some salsa are too spicy for him. He ate his weight in chips and salsa. I enjoyed the queso and my Carne Asada burritos smothered in queso were really nice. The carne asada is chopped quite fine and was nice and tender, which is definitely the way I like it. The combination of the finely minced steak with the shredded and melted white cheese in the burrito, while being smothered in queso was really perfect. This is a stand out amongst the carne asada in town. The dining area is quite large and beautifully decorated, while the service here is top notch. I asked my son if he would consider coming back. He replied, “like a million times.” I have a feeling we will be back this weekend and I will post a few pics every time we come. My only suggestion to the restaurant is they need a big sign so more people can see it from the road.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious! Different food items than most Mexican restaurants. The atmosphere was nice, the service was great and food was delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

There is plenty of truck parking near by for you truck drivers. The food is delicious and the service is great I definitely recommend to anyone passing thru and would like a delicious meal paired with great service.

Super fast, super friendly, great place to enjoy a few cervezas and eat good food. Ordered and recieved food in about 5 minutes. Extremely nice staff. Going to be a new fave as I work in town alot

Very nice place right next the Motel I stayed in. Friendly staff and very good food. My waitress, Viviana, was so nice and attentive, a truly lovely person. Definitely will come back when I pass through again.

Oh my goodness! So yummy! 5/5 service 5/5 atmosphere 5/5 food I highly recommend this place if you need to stop along the way. It’s great Mexican food. A huge selection on the menu- even a kids menu for the little ones. I’m vegan and had no issue with the dairy free vegetarian food. My husband got the beef taquitos and he was in heaven.
